Taking great photographs requires a good eye, quick reflexes, technical prowess, and sometimes just plain luck. In other words, it is hard work. Creating them with a computer, staging them, or changing them to make them 'better' is easier. But to alter a photograph is to betray the bond between photographer and viewer - the promise that the image shows the truth.
